This compilation album brings together the bands first two EPs: 1987's Screaming Life and 1988's Fopp. These would be the band's only releases for the Sub Pop label (the same label Nirvana got their start with). This album is strictly for completists. Those seeking the Soundgarden sound they know and love probably won't find it here as this truly reveals the band's origins. It can be considered more of a historical recording as this was Soundgarden getting their foot in the door. While still enjoyable as a fan of Soundgarden, the band from this point in time had a long way to go to achieve the greatness they earned. Badmotorfinger is up next!
