Jenny and Johnny are a fun indie pop group. Jenny and Johnny are also boyfriend and girlfriend. Jenny is Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley and Johnny is singer/songwriter Johnathan Rice. Jenny Lewis' vocals on here are very bright and her range is fantastic. This musical duo remind me greatly of M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel's project She & Him (you knew the comparison would come up), mostly for its retro feel though I find Jenny and Johnny much more poppy, upbeat and practically garage rock with their fuzzed-out tones. This album was extremely catchy and I have had it on repeat a couple of times now. I highly recommend it as an end of summer kind of album.
