With everyone anxiously awaiting the follow-up to 2008's album Only By The Night, Kings Of Leon have released the debut single from their new album Come Around Sundown (due on October 19th). The song, titled "Radioactive" is a bit of an odd turn for the guys from Tennessee. The song is somewhat of an ode to remembering your roots. It is a lot less anthemic than previous efforts by the band; this is no "Sex On Fire" by any means. This song shows a much more subdued Kings than before but with just a hint of their southern roots tied in which is a little more reminiscent of their earlier work from albums Youth and Young Manhood or Aha Shake Heartbreak. I can see this one growing on me very quickly.
