The Vaselines are back! 21 years and a couple of reissues of their collected works later and they haven't changed a whole lot. I loved this album! It still had all the catchiness of their previous efforts with simple but fun melodies and guitar hooks. Duelling male/female vocals make for interesting listening with many tongue-in-cheek lyrics. These two play delightful indie pop with a slight dissonance. Every once in a while the guitar will be just so slightly off as if to make sure you're still paying attention. These guys still have it (attitude and all). This could turn out to be one of the most fun albums of the year!
