Various Artists - Rock Against Bush, Vol. 1 (2004)

This made for interesting listening.  This compilation piles on the punk/rock/metal bands.  Many big names are here including NOFX, Against Me!, Pennywise, The Offspring, Anti-Flag, Alkaline Trio, Ministry, and the list goes on.  There are 26 tracks in total, all with one common denominator, to announce their disapproval of the Bush administration (in case the title didn't give it away).  This is going back a few years, so some songs that at the time were considered b-sides, not yet released or unreleased have seen release on other albums or compilations.  Songs like Rise Against's "Give It All" or Ministry's "No W" for example have since been released on the respective albums Siren Song Of The Counter Culture and Houses Of The Molé but you get alternate versions of these songs (almost like demo versions) which is great for fans looking to collect every ounce of material from their favourite band.  An accompanying DVD features music videos, some documentaries regarding the presidential election as well as a stand-up performance featuring comedian David Cross.  This is a pretty decent package overall.
